All praise and glory to the Lord God Almighty the Father along with our Lord Jesus Christ in union with His Holy Spirit. Thanks be to Jesus Christ for giving us the Holy Spirit to lead us and guide us in this world and in the world to come. Amen.
Neglecting, ignoring and opposing the manifestations of the Holy Spirit, is the Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. If there is a manifestation of the Holy Spirit, and you say it is from the devil, you are dangerously blaspheming the Holy Spirit. Don’t Risk It! Don’t resist the movements of the Holy Spirit, that is the Blasphemy we were warned about. (Robert Brownell)
There are three sins mentioned in the Bible that cannot be forgiven and of them only for one you still have a chance out of it. Here are the trio:
- Receiving the mark of the Beast and worshiping the image of the Beast. (refer Revelation 14:9-12)
- Unforgiveness. (refer Matthew 6:14-15)
- Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
Of these three sins only unforgiveness has a cure which is that before a person dies, he or she must actually forgive those who sinned against them. There is no other remedy to unforgiveness than to forgive. The other two sins are totally unpardonable forever.
Coming to the main topic about blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, one must realize that there is absolutely no forgiveness for this sin. Even Jesus won’t forgive those who sin against the Holy Spirit. You can read the verse Mark 3:22-30 mentioned below which confirm this:
And the scribes who came down from Jerusalem were saying, “He is possessed by Beelzebul,” and “by the prince of demons he casts out the demons.” And he called them to him and said to them in parables, “How can Satan cast out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand. And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but is coming to an end. But no one can enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. Then indeed he may plunder his house. “Truly, I say to you, all sins will be forgiven the children of man, and whatever blasphemies they utter, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit never has forgiveness, but is guilty of an eternal sin”— for they were saying, “He has an unclean spirit.”
You can also read the below verses which confirm the same thing:
Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. (Matthew 12:31-32)
One must take note of the word ‘whoever’ in the above verses. This means it applies to everyone in the world including atheists. There are various skeptics against the Christian faith who have gone to the extent of churning out blasphemies against the Holy Spirit. It doesn’t matter what they do or do not believe in, they are already under eternal condemnation. Don’t waste your time on such blasphemers as even the Gospel can’t save them now. This also applies to people who do believe in the existence of God as well that they must never blaspheme the Holy Spirit. As Christians, there should be no one so wicked as to commit this sin and so be condemned.
How does the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit manifest?
There are two major ways that I noticed how this happens:
- There are fools who directly speak evil against the Holy Spirit. They may also use cartoons, literature, videos etc to do this.
- There are people who criticize, oppose, reject and ignore the workings of the Holy Spirit through various individuals, ministries, groups etc. (This usually doesn’t happen overnight)
One must be very careful about blaming other Christians in saying that they are doing the works of demons. Just because you can’t understand them doesn’t mean they are always wicked. You need to check if they manifest the fruits of the Holy Spirit and do they preach Christ crucified and his resurrection.
For instance, there’s a young man who comes to church and after the church service waits outside and starts praying for sick people and they get healed. Then don’t be rash in judgement saying he does this by demonic powers because he wasn’t doing this in the church. What if he was doing this by the Holy Spirit and you were impulsive to skip all the due diligence but instead directly accused him? How would you be answerable to God for that?
So what I suggest is that if there is such a person you encounter then walk up to him with your church preacher and/or with some mature Christians and question him about his methods, doctrines and behavior. Ask him why did he, all of a sudden come to start healing and also what is his mission towards God. Ask him does he believe that Jesus is Lord and that God raised from the dead on the third. Then check back on the Bible and see if any of the things he mentioned or does contradicts the teaching of the Bible. You can then accuse the person if he indeed does go against the Lord God in any way. Be wise enough that you actually mention the sin or wrongdoing along with valid proof, if you’re warning others. That too warn others because you don’t wish them to be in deception.
Another example, is when ministries or church groups accuse each other blindly instead of checking for the facts. This is true in cases when their members are filled with misplaced pride about their sect or denomination instead of being focused on the Lord Jesus Christ. They will rally forth a huge volley of insults calling each other ‘demon led’, heretics, new world order stooges, [insert swear word] of Babylon, damned sinners and what not, on seeing that the people they oppose are doing great works in the name of the Lord Jesus and winning more converts to the Christian faith than them. Some of them even incorporate this into their doctrines and close the doors on open dialogue between opposing groups.
This name calling goes on really foolishly, especially on online forums that even unbelievers are shocked or amused by this. Now once in a while a person comes by and then asks them what is the actual crime they accuse each other of, then on systematic checking he realizes that these are not true or simply speculations. It’s quite a weird situation then, when such people are found to be foolishly accusing each other without valid proof. One excuse which is given when they’re caught is that they say they need to test every spirit. Well, ‘test every spirit’ means you actually test instead of jump the gun and directly accuse each other.
We are called to test every spirit. Any evil spirit you encounter, go ahead rebuke it in the name of Jesus. Keep your peace when any person is talking things contrary to the Gospel and if you want to rebuke or expose his falsehood, then do so with due diligence. You don’t need to become a person who speaks foul language even against blasphemers. Even the angels of God despite being powerful know to conduct themselves with honor. Jude 1:9 says that; But when the archangel Michael, contending with the devil, was disputing about the body of Moses, he did not presume to pronounce a blasphemous judgment, but said, “The Lord rebuke you.”
1 John 4:1-6 has excellent principles on how to test the Spirits. Here we go:
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us; whoever is not from God does not listen to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
So do check the facts before blaming anyone who is doing the works of God. Forgive those who sinned against you and reject the Evil One. Love and respect the Holy Spirit at all times. Give glory to God in all that you do.
I recently received the below forward, its quite interesting. Speaks of the after life and the futility of thinking there is no eternal life. Read closely and you’ll realize a bit more to what this means about God’s existence
This is really familiar to us as Children of God:
In a mother’s womb were two babies. One asked the other: “Do you believe in life after delivery?” The other replied, “Why, of course. There has to be something after delivery. Maybe we are here to prepare ourselves for what we will be later.”
“Nonsense” said the first. “There is no life after delivery. What kind of life would that be?”
The second said, “I don’t know, but there will be more light than here. Maybe we will walk with our legs and eat from our mouths. Maybe we will have other senses that we can’t understand now.”
The first replied, “That is absurd. Walking is impossible. And eating with our mouths? Ridiculous! The umbilical cord supplies nutrition and everything we need. But the umbilical cord is so short. Life after delivery is to be logically excluded.”
The second insisted, “Well I think there is something and maybe it’s different than it is here. Maybe we won’t need this physical cord anymore.”
The first replied, “Nonsense. And moreover if there is life, then why has no one has ever come back from there? Delivery is the end of life, and in the after-delivery there is nothing but darkness and silence and oblivion. It takes us nowhere.”
“Well, I don’t know,” said the second, “but certainly we will meet Mother and she will take care of us.”
The first replied “Mother? You actually believe in Mother? That’s laughable. If Mother exists then where is She now?”
The second said, “She is all around us. We are surrounded by her. We are of Her. It is in Her that we live. Without Her this world would not and could not exist.”
Said the first: “Well I don’t see Her, so it is only logical that She doesn’t exist.”
To which the second replied, “Sometimes, when you’re in silence and you focus and you really listen, you can perceive Her presence, and you can hear Her loving voice, calling down from above.”
All praise and glory to the Lord God Almighty the Father along with our Lord Jesus Christ in union with His Holy Spirit. None other is worthy of worship and adoration. To you be the praise forever. Amen.
A warning that Christians in this age still need to follow is that they keep away from idolatry. That means absolutely NO WORSHIP of idols. Anyone who indulges in this sin risks going to Hell and getting punished on Judgement day as well.
“You shall have no other gods before me. “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments. (Exodus 20:3-6)
Even an image can be the same type of snare as an idol. The glory of God doesn’t dwell in idols and images. More so, false gods are an abomination to all those who profess faith in the Lord Jesus.
Now just because someone doesn’t have an actual idol doesn’t mean the temptation of idolatry is not there. Loving your car, bank balance, art collection and also your favourite celebrities more than God is the same as the vile sin of idolatry. You must never love your talents in anything more than God. In fact anything in your life that takes the place of God is idolatry. So get rid of every form of idolatry which is in your heart. The below verse confirms this:
Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. (Colossians 3:5)
A believer in God might wonder, why is this warning being given as I only worship the Lord God? To answer that, I’d say that anything that you love more than God is idolatry and in the end times idolatry will still be there so one must keep away from it. Even in the New Testament this wicked sin remains condemned forever. You can refer to the following verses:
- Little children, keep yourselves from idols.(1 John 5:21)
- Do not be idolaters as some of them were; as it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.(1 Corinthians 10:7)
- Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.(1 Corinthians 10:14)
- But I have this against you, that you tolerate that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess and is teaching and seducing my servants to practice sexual immorality and to eat food sacrificed to idols. I gave her time to repent, but she refuses to repent of her sexual immorality. Behold, I will throw her onto a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her I will throw into great tribulation, unless they repent of her works. (Revelation 2:20-22)
- The rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk. (Revelation 9:20)
- But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death. (Revelation 21:8)
Also, the Anti Christ (also called as the Beast) and the false prophet who are opposed to the Lord God will use the image of the Beast to obtain adoration. The Holy Scripture’s openly curses and condemns those who worship the image of the Beast mentioned in Bible prophecy.
And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink the wine of God’s wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.” (Revelation 14:9-11)
And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who in its presence had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur. (Revelation 19:20)
Right from Genesis to Revelation the Bible keeps warning us against being idolators. Even in the end times idolatry will still exist and the Devil will use it so that the Beast receives the worship that belongs to God alone. No wonder we are called to keep away from idols and images if we truly are to honour the Lord God of Heaven Earth.
Suggested prayer: O Lord God forgive me of any form of idolatry that I may have knowingly or unknowingly indulged in. To you belong all worship, glory and adoration and no other. Forgive me for every time when I loved my riches, talents, friends and relatives more than you. I ask pardon for every instance where I considered anything more important in my life than you the Lord of Heaven and Earth. Also, I repent of all worship and adoration of false idols and images that I gave homage to. I resolve to follow your Son Jesus Christ and believe in the Gospel. Cleanse me of my sins and lead me by your Holy Spirit everyday. Amen and Amen.
All praise unto the Lord God and his Son Jesus Christ who along with the Holy Spirit don’t ever stop doing good to those who believe in the Gospel. Blessed is He who comes in the name of Lord. Amen.
A person is usually called a sinner as per the sinful action he commits. There is also something called as sin of inaction and apathy. In such a sin a person has a chance to do what is good but he willfully avoids.
For someone who never felt that avoiding good works is a sin, I’d say that it is indeed a sin. And the following scripture verses confirm this:
- So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin (James 4:17)
- And that servant who knew his master’s will but did not get ready or act according to his will, will receive a severe beating. (Luke 12:47)
- For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them. (2 Peter 2:21)
If you get an opportunity to do an act of kindness without compromising on your holiness then go ahead to do good. Saying kind words are not taxable, so why are you worried about the cost? Obviously, kindness that I’m talking about is not flattery nor trickery but genuine kindness.
The sin of inaction and apathy often partners with a slothful person. Some are always slothful but some are too cunning. Such people might be selectively active. So wherever they can serve themselves but when it comes to helping others they will totally avoid it. They love to pass on the buck to someone else. The usual excuse is that they don’t have the time and the money. Well, everyone gets 24 hours a day so the time excuse is invalid. The money excuse too is weird because there are plenty of good deeds that don’t actually need money to be spent in any way. You can always give away your old or unused clothes and furniture to a charity that looks after the poorest of the poor. You could help a blind person cross the road. Suppose you’re at a garden, you can watch out for children who are temporarily left unattended by their parents (there are freaks who try to harm children who are alone in parks) and raise an alarm if someone tries to hurt such children. Such things don’t need money but rather a mind open to the will of God.
A righteous man knows the rights of the poor; a wicked man does not understand such knowledge. (Proverbs 29:7)
Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy. (Proverbs 31: 8-9)
There are those who are oppressed who need your help and prayers. Their voices are not considered by society and so in a way they are voiceless. If you hear or know of such people in trouble do not deny them their right to exist. Speak up for them unto God and unto people who fight for justice. Pray that all workers of iniquity are stopped from carrying out their vile deeds against those you know are being oppressed by them. You can also approach the relevant church or human or racial equality groups so that the downtrodden of society get help.
Now if you into the sin of inaction and apathy its time that you realize that firstly this is indeed a sin and next its punishable in the afterlife. If you read Matthew 25:31-46 which speaks of the Final Judgement you will notice that Jesus our Lord will condemn all those who avoided doing what is right. The following verses of Matthew chapter 25 confirm this:
41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’ 44 Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’ 45 Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’ 46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
Today is the time that you can choose to be open to the will of God and repent of every sin. Repent of all sins of inaction and apathy. Desire to actually do what is good and holy in the eyes and life for the glory of God always.
Suggested Prayer: Dear Lord Jesus, I believe that you are the Son of God and that you will judge all sinners on Judgement Day. I repent of every sin, especially those of inaction and apathy. You are active in doing good to all those who believe in you, for this I give you praise. I resolve by your example to use every opportunity to do good whenever I can. Lord guide me by your Holy Spirit to use my intellect, talents and resources effectively to help others who are in trouble and need my help. Give me the wisdom to be able to do all this in holiness and without being fooled by any evil doer. I ask this in your Holy name, O Lord Jesus Christ. Amen and Amen.
The Bible teaches the existence of an immaterial, spiritual reality, unseen by human eyes. The physical reality is evident for all to see—although some doubt the existence of a material universe, too! The Bible says that the spiritual realm consists of both good—God and the holy angels—and evil—the devil and his demons. Demons are most likely fallen angels who rebelled against God and were thrown out of heaven (see Ezekiel 28:11–17; Isaiah 14:12–15; Revelation 12:7–9). The Bible also teaches that humans were created by God in His image, which means we have a spiritual component (Genesis 1:27). We are more than physical entities; we possess a soul/spirit destined for eternity. Even though the spiritual realm is invisible to the physical eye, we are connected to it, and what goes on in the spiritual realm directly affects our physical world.
In our culture, the…

The pictures, words and videos you post on Facebook are treated by law as no longer your property and now belongs to Facebook. Would you prefer it that way?
It can cause to you have artificial relationships and keep you away from facing the true realities of life.
People tend to get carried away by pride by posting any of their vain little things they do and don’t realize their time gets wasted.
All praise and glory to God for all the elders who share their wisdom and experience for building up the members of the church!
And these words which I command you this day shall be upon your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. (Deuteronomy 6:6-7)
One must be open to all wisdom from those who are your elders. They are those who have walked the walk of faith in Christ for many a years. They have faced challenges and have encountered various temptations and yet stand stall in the grace of Christ. These are champions of the Christian faith and not wimps that I’m talking about.
You must be humble enough to ignore their lack of certain skills that you might possess. Like you are well versed with computer skills, can move quickly, play the guitar, ride a sailboat and have a great collection of Christian teachings. Yet, they might have things you still need to learn from, like ministering to children, casting out demons, surviving blizzards, refuting heresies etc. Christianity is never about perfect people, there are no perfect people who were perfect all the time but there is the Lord whom we trust in and he is eternally perfect. With that said, we are to help build up each other in Christ instead of being proud of our achievements.
There are certain ministries such as counseling, healing and deliverance where you need to learn from those who are experienced in the field. So do give a listening ear to those who are veterans in those ministries. You might not have to like everything that they say as you have the right to discern instead of taking things at face value. Just take a note of what they said and verify if that is consistent with the Bible or not. You can then accordingly apply their wisdom to your ways of ministry, no matter how small or big it is.
Usually elders have a thing which can be the deciding factor passing on their knowledge to you. One word; respect. If you don’t respect them they won’t be in the mood to teach you. Simple enough. Instead you might get a good old-fashioned rebuking. That’s how it goes. Don’t make fun of them. The aging process might have gone down on them but one must have patience in such matters. The more you respect them by being polite the better it is for you.
Like I mentioned earlier, you are to learn from those elders who are not wimps of the faith. Be eager to learn from those walk the talk of the Christian faith. This would mean taking due diligence in deciding who is worth learning from. Pray to the Holy Spirit that you get the right people and that if any wrong person comes then you are able to say no to their incorrect logic.
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. (2 Corinthians 1:20)
Learn to relax in the promises of God. Never get carried away by the external that you forget to trust God inwardly. Indeed, Jesus rebuked those disciples about their low faith when they were scared of of the great storm despite being with him the boat (Refer Mark 4:35-41). Do not get fearful about anything, for instance the economy, wars, relationships etc. Instead put your trust in the word of God.
Jesus said; Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. (Matthew 24:35)
It’s normal for the world to pass away. Despite all the great beauty and delights that this world still has, one must take into account that this is still a fallen world. The only thing that will abide forever even at the end of the world is the word of the Lord God.
The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever. (Isaiah 40:8)
The problem is that though the promises of God are trustworthy, not every one believes in them. One of the reasons for that is that people do not read the Bible enough. They read it only when they are reminded by their preacher. However, if the preacher is busy on some other matters, they take things lightly. So the cure to such lack of Bible reading is well; read the Bible, whether someone reminds you or does not remind.
Then there are people who do read the Bible regularly but do not read it in faith. Bible reading is not be mere reading alone. You got to try to understand it. You got to believe in it. Most importantly, one who reads the Bible must read it so one becomes more like Christ in obedience to God.
By which are given unto us exceedingly great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.(2 Peter 1:4)
Then we have some people who have some faith in God’s promises but are not aggressive enough to pursue them. You need to be dauntless and enduring in claiming the promises of God for yourself. Don’t get fooled by what the Devil throws at you, you just keeping holding on the God’s promises. Rebuke all the falsehood of the Evil One in the name of Jesus.
From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and the violent take it by force. (Matthew 11:12)
I will list out a few promises of God in the Bible. Now this is not a complete list, so I encourage you to open your Bible for yourself later on and get reading. Here the verses, which you can claim for yourself as they are your inheritance in Jesus Christ:
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11)
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. (Matthew 11:28-29)
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)
And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19)
In prayer we express to God our praise and love of him. We also bring forth our needs and petitions unto him. It’s wise to cast your worries and anxieties unto the Lord Jesus Christ for he cares for you.
Now the aim of prayer always must be to give glory to God. Some people however are way too focused on their problems and needs that they miss out on the essence of prayer, which is to give glory to God. For them prayer is just a transaction instead of a sign of a relationship with God. One cannot have a wrong focus like this if one wants to worship God in spirit and in truth. This does not mean that you never bring your problems and needs before the Lord God. What this means is that your focus on these must never be the whole and sole reason you pray to God.
Problem or Problem Solver
Are you going to keep worrying about your problem or look up to the Problem Solver in heaven above? If you are going to keep worrying about your problem instead of trusting God for such situations then you are not exhibiting the faith that you need to have in God. Never get too emotionally overwhelmed that you are crying about your problem but are not expressing your faith in God. It’s normal and reasonable to acknowledge your emotions about the problem. However, making your emotions the central point of your prayer will make you focus on yourself instead of looking up to God to help you.
Healing or the Healer
When it comes to healing what is more important, your sickness or the One who can heal you? It is God indeed who gives cures and healing. He can give cures supernaturally or by way of a physician who give dues medical treatment. It is right it ask for healing but what is not right is that you make a drama about your sickness. Trust me there are a lot of people who are sick but face their illness without making themselves or others miserable. Some of them face terminal illness and yet are calm for the sake their family, friends etc. And now knowing this, one must not worry so much on their healing that they see past the Healer. One must know the will of God for their healing and move forward in faith then.
Comfort or the Comforter
There is no true comfort without the Comforter. The Holy Spirit comforts us with the peace of Christ in this fallen world that we live in. He gives us hope within when the external conditions look hopeless. It is unwise, then that a person desires comfort so badly that he doesn’t want to honor the Comforter but only sees him as a means to an end. If you seek the Holy Spirit who is the Comforter from God, you will have his comfort for your own.
We live in an age where instant coffee is highly coveted. Because people do not want to wait for it being prepared the normal way. However, these very people will waste hours chatting over cups of instant coffee in some downtown cafe. One wonders why do they hurry to get the coffee then. And then we have the issue of instant gratification. The world puts a premium on instant gratification. Like taking a loan for an overseas luxury vacation and then pounding your way at work once you’re back so that you can pay off the loan. This approach applied to prayer will make you look impulsive instead of discerning. You may have instant coffee from a coffee vending machine but don’t ever treat God like a miracle vending machine. He is NOT a machine but a loving, powerful, merciful and wise God. Don’t let your desire for instant gratification of your needs get the better of you when praying to God then.
A suggested prayer:
Dear Lord God, I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ your Son. Forgive me of all my sins, including the times and occasions when I focused more on my problems and needs instead of focusing on you. I desire to say a firm and solemn yes to your will for me all times. Guide and comfort me by your Holy Spirit who brings forth the peace of Christ in those who believe in you. I surrender all my worries and anxieties unto you, knowing that you are Lord of all and nothing is greater than you. I trust in you for my health in all aspects of life, be it physical, mental or spiritual. You have made me the head and not the tail by the saving grace of Christ. So then let not evil nor sin reign over me but you O Lord God always reign over me and protect me from all dangers.
Amen and amen.
There’s been news doing the rounds on the internet that the U.S is now requesting the Indians to let their armed forces to enter into the Iraq and Syria situation against the terrorists who control significant parts of those nations. Here is one such online source:
I’m not yet sure if that is a good decision on part of the U.S. So do please pray that if this is truly in the will and the wisdom of God, only then do the Indian troops get into Iraq and Syria. If the Indian forces come over there only God knows how much massacres will be started or stopped.
Pray, pray, pray!
