Trust and the armour of God
Those who trust in the Lord shall be like mount Zion that can never be moved (Psalm 125:1), because you are like the one you trust. Those who trust in dumb, blind, clueless idols are like them. If you trust in money, you will be it, fleeting and shallow (Psalm 135:13-19, Proverbs 23:5).
Trust is the giving of yourself to the object of your trust to take some of his/its attributes/possession. That is why trust comes with devotion. In devotion you give of yourself to receive of the object of your trust, you empty yourself to be filled.
