Refrain from being impulsive

Refrain from being impulsive,
Lest your actions become repulsive.
Then from people don’t expect praise,
So don’t be like the one who strays.

Refrain from giving blindly to emotions,
Lest in your life you have demotions.
Then from the Lord don’t expect commendation,
So don’t choose the path of desolation.

Refrain from foolish rambling,
Lest your reputation you be gambling.
Then at Judgement Day don’t expect a smile,
So don’t speak words that are vile.
