Call upon the Lord God in the day of trouble
When you in trouble or when trouble has filled your day, remember to call upon the Lord God in the day of trouble. Do not be ashamed to call upon the Name of the Lord no matter what problem you are facing.
Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor Me (Psalm 50:15)
As you call upon the Lord, thank Him for the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank God for all the blessings that you have received from Jesus Christ. Repent of your sins, confess your sins to the Lord God in the name of Jesus.
Do not fear man nor woman, when you have God by your side. Ask the Lord that you are able to speak right and do what is right. Don’t worry about what people can do, only concern yourself with the glory of the Living God and you will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. (Psalm 27:13)
O dear friends of God, do take heed that when the Lord your God have saved you in the day of trouble, you do not displease God by not giving him the honor that is due to him alone. Don’t try to say that the doctor, the hero, the soldier or the family member etc saved you by their own efforts for they wouldn’t be able to help unless the Lord God caused them to be at the right place and at the right time to help you. Hence the glory belongs to God and so you must deny giving that praise that is due to Him alone.
Christ be with you!
Fear no demon
Call upon Jesus for he is mighty to save,
Against all evil spirits who try to enslave.
Fear no demon and their vile lot,
Call upon God to untangle their knot.
Build up your faith by prayer and fasting,
And believing the Scriptures everlasting.
Claim your authority in courageous prayer,
And against all ungodliness beware.
Cast out all spirits that are malicious,
Banish all spirits that are vicious.
Rescue those who call for deliverance,
Preach to them true worship observance.
Rebuke the demons let them flee,
But in such things don’t take glee.
That your names are written in heaven,
For this let your joy within leaven.
First go to the Courts of Heaven before you go to the Spiritual battlefield
First go to the Courts of Heaven to deal with an issue, before you go to the Spiritual battlefield. Because by the victory in the courts of heaven will you prevail more better against the forces of darkness in the Spiritual battlefield.
The Enemy is the accuser of the brethren and keeps trying to accuse you in the court of God always. You need to stop the accusations so that you do well in the Spiritual battlefield. If you don’t stop the accusations you’ll weaken your chances of winning in the Spiritual world
While you do have the advantage of Jesus Christ being your advocate you too need to do your part of asking Jesus to continue to plead on your behalf. Never miss out on asking Jesus to plead for you in the Courts of Heaven, lest the Evil One have advantage over you because of you not seeking the Lord Jesus.
Verses for reflection:-
And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. (Revelation 12:10)
My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. (1 John 2:1-2)
Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him. 2 And the Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, O Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is not this a brand plucked from the fire?” 3 Now Joshua was standing before the angel, clothed with filthy garments. 4 And the angel said to those who were standing before him, “Remove the filthy garments from him.” And to him he said, “Behold, I have taken your iniquity away from you, and I will clothe you with pure vestments.” 5 And I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him with garments. And the angel of the Lord was standing by.
6 And the angel of the Lord solemnly assured Joshua, 7 “Thus says the Lord of hosts: If you will walk in my ways and keep my charge, then you shall rule my house and have charge of my courts, and I will give you the right of access among those who are standing here. 8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, you and your friends who sit before you, for they are men who are a sign: behold, I will bring my servant the Branch. 9 For behold, on the stone that I have set before Joshua, on a single stone with seven eyes, I will engrave its inscription, declares the Lord of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of this land in a single day. 10 In that day, declares the Lord of hosts, every one of you will invite his neighbor to come under his vine and under his fig tree.” (Zechariah 3:1-9)
O Jesus heal the sick and the weak
O Jesus, I confess that you the world’s Saviour,
Pardon me for all my bad behaviour.
Give me the grace as I pray,
And let me not go astray.
O Jesus, heal the sick and the weak,
Save them from situations bleak.
They need your healing and grace,
Hide not from us your Holy Face.
O Jesus, heal the sick and suffering,
For I believe in your Divine offering.
You gave for us Your life on the Cross,
That we be saved from a fate that is gross.
O Jesus, I know that you will heal,
For the Father loves us with full zeal.
Have mercy for those I have come to you to pray,
Give them healing before they despair and fray.
O Jesus, you raised the people from the dead,
And you have crushed down the Serpent’s head.
Work your grace for the sick and weak,
That they with gratitude your praises speak.

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. (Philippians 4:6)

What if the Lord should give you power to raise the dead
If the Lord should give you power to raise the dead, He would give much less than He does when he bestows suffering. By miracles you would make yourself debtor to Him, while by suffering He may become debtor to you. And even if sufferings had no other reward than being able to bear something for that God who loves you, is not this a great reward and a sufficient remuneration? Whoever loves, understands what I say. (St John Chrysostom)
Bible verses against plagues and disease
You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday. (Psalm 91:5-6)
Because you have made the Lord your dwelling place the Most High, who is my refuge no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. (Psalm 91:9-10)
I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life.(Pslam 121:1-2,7)
And the Lord will take away from you all sickness, and none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which you knew, will he inflict on you, but he will lay them on all who hate you. (Deuteronomy 7:15)
No harm befalls the righteous, but the wicked are filled with trouble. (Proverbs 12:21)
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. (1 Peter 2:24)
Suggested prayer inspired by the above Bible verses:
In the name of Jesus, I will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday. I have made the Lord my dwelling place the Most High, who is my refuge and by faith I know that no evil shall be allowed to befall me, nor plague come near my dwelling. When I look up to the hills, I know for sure that my help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. I believe that the Lord will keep me from all evil and he will keep my life. I pray that the Lord will take away from me all sickness because by his Holy Word I know that no harm befalls the righteous who trust in the Lord God. And I confess that Jesus himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds I have been healed. Amen.
I pray to Christ for your healing
I pray to Christ for your healing,
So you’d be made whole in your feeling.
I pray to Christ for your healing,
So your pleas go beyond the ceiling
I pray to Christ for your healing,
That with repentance you’re dealing
I pray to Christ for your healing,
That you confess to God without concealing.
I pray to Christ for your healing,
So that at Church worship bells be pealing.
I pray to Christ for your healing,
So no longer in darkness you’re reeling.
I pray to Christ for your healing,
That none ever this be stealing.
I pray to Christ for your healing,
That in restful adoration you be kneeling.
