We always carry the death of Jesus in our body

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, to show that the transcendent power belongs to God and not to us. 8 We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; 10 always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. 11 For while we live we are always being given up to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 12 So death is at work in us, but life in you. (2 Corinthians 4:7-12)

Whenever you don’t know if a dream is from God, do this!

Whenever you get a dream, never give it more importance than the Lord God.  If it seems a good dream, surrender it to God. If it seems a bad dream, still surrender it to God.  You can use any or all of the below prayer points:

  • I cancel all evil dreams and schemes against me in the name of Jesus.
  • Dear God if it’s from you bless it. If it’s not, block it!
  • I surrender this dream, and all my past dreams and all future dreams at the foot of the Cross of Jesus, so that the light of Jesus Christ shines on them and takes away all the darkness.
  • Dear God I love you more than any dream or vision, and I surrender all of them into your saving hands, that you be glorified and I am delivered from all harm and pride. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
  • I ask for the Holy Spirit to lead me in all truth to the things of God and the Word of God, so that I do not fall in fear nor deception. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen

Verses for reflection:

  • Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. (1 John 4:1)
  • They see false visions and speak lying divinations. They claim, ‘Thus declares the LORD,’ when the LORD did not send them; yet they wait for the fulfillment of their message. (Ezekiel 13:6)
  • For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let your prophets and your diviners who are in your midst deceive you, nor listen to your dreams which you cause to be dreamed. (Jeremiah 29:8)
  • But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good (1 Thessalonians 5:21)and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:15-17)
  • For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)
  • Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)

Let the Lord be your shield and lifter of your head

But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. (Psalm 3:3)

For surely You, O LORD, bless the righteous; You surround them with the shield of your favor. (Psalm 5:12)

Then my head will be held high above my enemies around me. At His tabernacle I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the LORD. (Psalm 27:6)

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. Therefore my heart rejoices, and I will thank Him with my song. (Psalm 28:7)

I will exalt You, O LORD, for You have lifted me up and have not allowed my foes to rejoice over me. (Psalm 30:1)

My salvation and my honor rest on God, my strong rock; my refuge is in God. (Psalm 62:7)

For not from the east or from the west and not from the wilderness comes lifting up; but it is God who executes judgment, putting down one and lifting up another. ( Psalm 75:6-7)

Live again for the Lord

Live again, live free!
For God’s glory ever be.
Live again, live worthily!
For God’s honour ever readily.

Live again, live pure!
And for God’s mercy be sure.
Live again, live strong!
And for God’s sake avoid all wrong.

Live again for the Lord Most Holy!
And be kind towards those lowly.
Live again for the Lord Most High!
And be wise in each thought and reply.

Live again for the Lord Jesus Christ!
And crucify the flesh which can entice.
Live again for the Spirit of God!
And reject all things evil and odd.

Why you must know the voice of the Lord?

When the Lord speaks through a person, what they say will be backed up by scripture. But also, when the enemy speaks, he will use misapplied scripture to defend his poison. How will you distinguish? If you’re relying on your intellectual knowledge of scripture to distinguish, be careful, you’re up against the one “more crafty than the rest.” The truth is that you must know the voice of the Lord. If you don’t, you’ll believe the misapplied scripture of the enemy’s agent before you believe the Lord’s servant!

Quick Reminder : Live for Christ

Take heed so that you are ready for the Son of Man

Prayers leading to Christmas – 6

O Lord God, to whom alone belongs the Final judgement, give me justice against all evil doers, and defend me. I pray for your protection, against enemies,, both seen and unseen. Save me and my family, from the evil rulers of the earth. Deliver us from all evil whether its mental, physical or spiritual. Do not let the Enemy of my soul, rejoice over my afflictions, and cause all weapons formed against me, to not prosper. By your Holy Spirit, warn me of dangers, so that I avoid the insidious paths of life. Preserve me, so that I can given even greater glory, to your Holy Name. Like the righteous and devout Simeon, who did see death until he met the Lord Jesus, and so received the consolation of Israel, I pray that you save me from untimely death so that I fulfill all that you want me to do before I be with you in heaven. I ask this all in the precious and majestic name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.

Prayers leading to Christmas – 5

O Lord God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, fill me with your light. Let all darkness flee from my life, and let your light shine in me. Take away all the things from me, that may cause me to walk in darkness. Let the light of your Holy Word, always enlighten my path, that I may not stumble. By your Holy Spirit lead me each day, that I might grow more and more, in your Son Jesus Christ, the light of the world. Like the Magi, help me to discern, the light to be followed, till I reach my final abode with you, in heaven forever. I also pray especially that your light in me helps others to believe in you O Lord and the Gospel. I ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Prayers leading to Christmas – 2

O Lord God, you who control the ways of the universe, without it controlling you, grant me self control. Send forth your Holy Spirit, to help me bear much fruit, by having self control. Forgive me for the times when I’ve misused my thoughts, logic and impulses, for selfish and worthless pursuits. I ask for wisdom, wherever I lack it, and humility wherever I need it in life. O good Jesus, lead me on the right path, and let me not fall prey to foolish desires and immaturity. Send forth your ministering angels, to go out before me, and destroy all the plans of the Enemy, that have been laid out for me. Like how Joseph was warned in a dream, to avoid danger to his family, so grant me all the knowledge, to refrain from walking in the murky waters hidden about. I know you who are the way, the truth and the life, will guide me away from all self deception, as I trust you above all things. I thank you in advance, for the growth that you will bring in me, prospering in self control. I make this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, the eternal king of Israel. Amen.
