Use your blessings for the Lord
Posted by pray2christ
Use your blessings for the Lord,
Be in sync with God’s plan in accord.
For such blessings are not for insanity,
So rid yourself of selfishness and vanity.
Use your blessings for God’s holy name,
So that his love to all you truly proclaim.
Your talents, your wealth, your security, your time,
Are loaned to you to preach the Gospel Divine.
Be not like Gehazi who carried out a conspiracy,
Seeking unlawful gain that he got cursed with leprosy.
His master Elisha was told of his sin,
In Spirit before he got back to him therein.
For eyes of God roam the whole earth,
To show His strength to those who act with true worth.
So live your life with obedience to his commands,
For God’s grace and mercy have only just demands.
The God of Israel
Posted by pray2christ
He is known in the Hebrew tongue as Jehovah,
And created the land, the stars and each supernova.
He is the Lord of the seas, the earth and the sky,
And life to all beings everywhere he does supply.
All knowing, all powerful, all powerful is he,
None can overcome the Lord by any degree.
He controls the storehouses of rain, cold and storm,
And great things and miracles he does perform.
In the past of all the many nations on the earth,
God chose Israel much before Abraham’s birth.
These were called to be his people forever,
So he gave them Law to follow wherever.
They lived under God’s protection,
And for them the Lord still has much affection.
The God of the Holy angels on high,
Manna in the wilderness for them he did supply.
In love for his people, the Lord is zealous,
Against worship of false gods, he is jealous.
For God reproves the sinner and does rebuke,
Moses worships him and so does Saint Luke.
He is merciful equally as he is just,
So he forgives those in him who put their trust.
He knows the heart and he knows the mind,
And keeps his Angels to the righteous assigned.
His Spirit is holy and so is his only begotten Son,
Manifest in the flesh Jesus has great victories won.
And he is seated at his Father and Lord’s right hand,
Giving salvation to all believers in the land.
For the God of Israel is not restricted to the Jews,
He pours out his grace on each, who the Gospel choose.
No wonder Jehovah planned to be the Redeemer of all nations,
For the Gentiles too are his beloved creations.

God calls you to overcome sin
Posted by pray2christ
“The call of God to man, ever since he fell into sin has been to be an overcomer. God told Cain, “Sin is crouching at your (heart’s) door…but you must master it” (Gen.4:7). In the last book of the Bible that call is repeated, “He who overcomes shall inherit these things and I will be his God and he will be My son” (Rev. 21:7).” – Zac Poonen
The World’s perspective of God and the Biblical perspective of God
Posted by pray2christ
The World’s perspective of God.
We are down here struggling, many people are suffering, there’s injustice everywhere, wars, diseases, earthquakes, floods, disasters all over the world, and where is god?
He’s in Heaven, enjoying himself, oblivious to all the problems we have down here. Why doesn’t he do something? Why do bad things happen to good people? Why doesn’t he take care of his creation? Is he asleep? Doesn’t he care? And after we go though this miserable life, he sends many people to hell? What kind of god is that?
The natural man loves this perspective because it justifies him, and shows that god is clearly in the wrong.
The Biblical perspective of God.
We are down here living in rebellion to God, we don’t obey His Word, we ignore His warnings, we refuse to repent, we kill His prophets & crucified His Son, we provoke Him to anger, we reject His mercy, we mock those He sends to us, we ridicule His ways and we live our live in accordance with Satan, doing whatever we want, making up our own rules, and continually breaking God commandments.
This rebellion causes God great pain and suffering. The suffering you see on Christ’s body, represents the suffering of the Father’s heart, because His creation hates Him and rebels against Him. He patiently holds back His fierce judgment, not punishing people as they deserve, so that some men might repent and be saved, before it is too late.Â
The natural man hates this perspective, because it clearly shows that he is in the wrong with no excuse.Â

Prayers leading to Christmas – 14
Posted by pray2christ
O Lord God give me your joy, which comes from faith in you. With trust in your mercy, I take off the garment of sorrow and affliction and put on for ever the beauty of the glory from you O Lord. I believe in my spirit that you O God of Abraham, Moses and Jacob, will lead Israel with joy, in the light of your glory, with the mercy and righteousness that come from you alone. I declare in my heart, that the joy of the Lord is my strength, and I reject all the sinful and deceitful pleasures of the world. O good Jesus give me the joy of your salvation, set me free from the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things which are unhelpful to my soul. I wish not to be distracted by sorrow, nor lose the joy in waiting for your second coming. I ask this in your Holy Name. Amen and amen.

Thank the Saviour Jesus for what he’s done,
For victory over sin and death he’s won.
Thank the Saviour Jesus for his grace,
For by him God’s mercy shines on your face.

And surrender to him each and every feeling.
Thank the Messiah for reconciling you to God the Father,
And give him the glory and no other.
Thank the Saviour Jesus for your life in abundance,
For he has saved you from spiritual redundance,
Thank the Redeemer for preparing your place in heaven,
For he intercedes for you all year, twenty four seven.
Thank the Saviour Jesus for your family and each friend,
Remember to him belongs the beginning and the end.
Thank the Prince of Peace for giving you tranquility,
Remember to him belongs everlasting stability.
Thank the Saviour Jesus for his wisdom and strength,
And to please him have faith till life’s journey and length.
Thank the Saviour Jesus for each blessing,
And your praises to him keep freely expressing.

The righteous are bold as a lion
Posted by pray2christ
The righteous are bold as a lion,
Everywhere and even at Mount Zion.
Those led by God, fear not anyone that hates,
And by Christ, they possess the enemies gates.
The wicked flee when no one pursues,
Such hearts secretly fear sins dues.
Those that are proud, God resists,
And for the unrepentant, judgement persists.
Now righteous or wicked, you cannot be both,
Accept what is good, but all sin you loathe.
Courage comes naturally to God’s chosen,
So, against the darkness don’t be frozen.
Look at those brave who the evil overcame,
They stood for God and his name all the same.
Ignore not these witnesses in heaven,
But partake of the Gospel’s leaven.
