Just a thought – God can turn your burdens into blessings

God can turn your burdens into blessings. This is possible for those who believe in Him more than anything else.

And we know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)

Blessings to all on this Good Friday

28 After this, Jesus, knowing that all was now finished, said to fulfill the Scripture), “I thirst.” 29 A jar full of sour wine stood there, so they put a sponge full of the sour wine on a hyssop branch and held it to his mouth. 30 When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. (John 19:28-30)

Rain your blessings

Rain your blessings on us O Lord,
Protect me from the darkness and sword.
Be my strength and my shield,
From infirmity let me be healed.

Rain your mercy on me O Jesus Christ,
For us you’ve yourself sacrificed.
Be my hope and my redeemer,
And save me from the deceiver.

Rain your mercy on me O Spirit of God,
Give me favour both at home and abroad.
Be my comforter and my guide,
And cause me in the Gospel to abide.

The undiscerned life one must avoid

The undiscerned life one must avoid,
For it may be of wisdom devoid.
People who wander through choices,
Better be vary of deceitful voices.

Examine your life in full or in parts,
Till all foolishness and timidity departs.
Ask of the Lord and Him by prayer approach,
For he gives wisdom generously without reproach.

For why must you keep blindly shopping,
From tricksters and then keep dropping?
Why must you go for a risky drive,
Only to crash by a reckless dive?

Value your life and its action,
Always choose a sensible reaction.
Be of a good strong spine,
Then your decisions will be fine.

Your precious life, is to you God’s gift,
So by your conduct, to Him your praises lift.
Breathe each breath with a holy mission,
So that you live with Divine provision.

Bible verse to meditate on for peaceful sleep

Psalm 4:8 “I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for you, LORD, only make me dwell in safety.”

Psalm 127:2 “It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep.”

Proverbs 3:24 “When you lie down, you will not be afraid; When you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.”

Job 11:19 “You will lie down, with no one to make you afraid, and many will court your favor.”
