The True Joy Of Christmas

 

The true joy of Christmas is not about eating nice food. Nor is it about having family around yourself to celebrate. It’s neither wearing fine clothes nor hearing carols being sung around the corner. All of these are good in themselves, in moderation of course, but they do not make up the true joy of Christmas. Never even be part of the ignoble Black Friday sale before Christmas time, there is nothing Christlike in it. Because you can still have all of them but lose the joy in pursuit of worldly festivities, in trying to imitate the world’s ways and the world’s vain pleasures.

But heart of hearts, the true joy of Christmas is in being grateful for God’s gift to the world; the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We didn’t deserve him then nor do we deserve him now, because its only the grace of God even till now. And whatever Jesus asks of us we only do it in loving obedience to the will of God.

I appreciate each one taking time to meditate and celebrate the gift of the Savior Jesus to this fallen world we live in. And since we have received this most solemn faith by the Spirit of God, let’s continue to celebrate Jesus not just on Christmas but each day we live.

To sum it all up; you can only find the true of joy of Christmas in being grateful and obedient to Jesus Christ every time and everyday!

Quick Reminder : Remove all cursed objects from your life

If you profess your faith in Christ Jesus then don’t put your faith in any other person nor thing for blessings. By the Holy Spirit expect your prayers to be heard by God the Father in heaven with Jesus interceding at God’s right hand.

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. (Ephesians 4:30)

Ask God clarity when making decisions

Ask God clarity when making decisions,
Don’t go solely by dreams or visions.
For it is wise to review your decisions,
Lest you get struck by collisions.

Ask God by the Scriptures and by prayers,
And cast unto the Lord your worries and cares.
Don’t make any decisions due to fear or rage,
But God’s counsel in them engage.

Ask God by his Spirit holy and pure,
So that till the very end you endure.
Don’t follow the crowd and its choices,
Lest you fall pray to insidious voices.

Ask God to warn you and guide,
So in that safety you abide.
That you don’t run into extremes,
But be aware against Satan’s schemes.

Listen to the Holy Spirit today

Listen to the Holy Spirit today
So that all fears you allay.
Listen to the Holy Spirit today,
Lest from the Gospel you go astray.

Listen to the Holy Spirit today,
So that your life is in good array.
Listen to the Holy Spirit today,
Lest in perversion you decay.

Listen to the Holy Spirit today,
So that your choices you weigh.
Listen to the Holy Spirit today,
Lest from the righteous path you sway.

Listen to the Holy Spirit today,
So God your obedience does repay.
Listen to the Holy Spirit today,
Lest you become the Devil’s prey.

Listen to the Holy Spirit today,
So that, Jesus in your favor does pray.
Listen to the Holy Spirit today,
Lest in mediocrity you lay.

Examine your beliefs!

You need to think in your walk with Jesus Christ if you are truly following him as you should. Its not that the world is trying to seduce you into wrong doing but rather are you choosing each day to carry your cross!

Those who are athletes, find it useful to examine their actions before the next big tournaments begins. They don’t find it depressing to correct their wrong landings and shaky movements. Because they know if they fix it up before the real test, the they are more suited to win and be crowned the champions. Your walk with Christ is no different! You got to check on your Bible if you are really thinking and doing things that are consistent with being a true follower of Jesus. You can then repent of any faults or sin and train to walk more strongly in the Lord God. The Holy Spirit will lead you in all truth, all you need to do is just ask him with sincerity!

Verses for reflection:

1. Let us test and examine our ways, and return to the LORD! (Lamentations 3:40)
2. I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified. (1 Corinthians 9:27)
3. Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test! (2 Corinthians 13:5)

 

Keep yourselves in God’s love

Pray for your miracle in faith

Pray for your miracle in faith,
Be sincere early and not too late.
Pray for your miracle in hope,
And against all doubts to cope.

Pray for your miracle with gratitude,
Be for this in a humble attitude.
Pray for your miracle with passion,
And don’t act in a worldly fashion.

Live for the Lord God

Live for the Lord God O people,
Let your praise go beyond the steeple.
Live wisely in the Spirit of God,
Let your feet with the Gospel of peace be shod.

Live for the Lord God O preachers,
Speak of Christ Jesus to all creatures.
Live with courage and with hope,
So that on the right path you can cope.

Live for the Lord God each child,
And unto Him be fully reconciled.
Live truly for His greater glory,
Act all this out in your story.

Christian prayer for 2019

 

O Lord God, forgive me of all my sins especially the one’s I kept holding on to. Forgive me for not doing the good that I was supposed to do in 2018. Give me your grace to set things right in this new year 2019.

I reject and repel all curses working and operating in my life, in the name of Jesus. And I ask that no curse that rises against me ever prospers.

Bring your healing to my body, mind and spirit. Protect me and all my Christian brothers and sisters all over the world from the snares of the Evil One. Cause your Church to always prevail against the powers of darkness, the ungodly and all heretics. Expose and banish all the Jezebel and Judas spirits from each place where your Holy Word is preached and cherished.

By your Holy Spirit, lead your Church into all truth. Please cause more and more preachers to always preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ without fear. I desire that the Gospel is preached to all nations, Judea, Israel and Samaria and also all tribes and races. Please give them a opportunity to pass from the darkness of sin to the light of Christ, where there is salvation and righteousness for those who believe.

O Lord God, you are the creator of the heavens and the Earth. So I ask in faith, that you direct the course of events that happen on earth including my nation and state. I know you hate sin and therefore I ask that you overthrow all corrupt leaders worldwide, and put in their place good leaders who will only do good. Cause the sinister plans of vain politicians to be exposed. May all fake news groups be named and shamed and the people be alerted against them.

In your loving mercy, I plead that you give me your grace and healing in all things. I reject all false counsel of the world, and ask for your wisdom in all areas of my life. Help to recognize false friends and bad friends and so keep away from their evil influence. Bless my vocation and career that I be kept away from deception and be given more opportunities to do my best. Give me good favor in sight of all who see me and work with me. Cause my good works to shine before others so that they give glory to You my Father in Heaven.

I plead that in this year, the plans of terror are exposed and the forces of justice prevail against them. Please protect people worldwide from all natural and economic disasters. I ask in faith, that all nations and the their law enforcement personal take actions to stop human slavery and illegal trafficking of people especially children. Give freedom to those illegally chained and let them go free.

O Jesus Christ, I ask for my colleagues, friends and family,that they are kept safe from all evil and traps wherever they go. Save them from evil spirits and their evil influence. Please cause your grace to shine on them, especially those who have not yet received the Gospel. Let them surely be given opportunities to repent of their sins and believe in the Gospel. Give them good health of mind, body and spirit, everyday. I ask that you remove all curses working in lives.

I ask all this especially for the year 2019, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Prayers leading to Christmas – 28

O Lord God, I thank you for the gift of new life that you have given me, by your Son Jesus Christ. I believe that by his death on the cross and by his glorious resurrection, I am set free from the bondage of sin, hell and death. So I praise you for revealing to me, your life giving Holy Word and the Gospel. I desire of my free will, that you cause me to live, a life worthy of being a believer in you, and also crucify the flesh. Preserve my life and those of my family and friends, against the evil plans of the Enemy of my soul. By my faith in Jesus, who is true God and true man, I know I have a hope and a future which is secure and full of salvation. Let your abundant life flow in me, by the Holy Spirit to all I preach the Gospel to. Let me never be lacking in understanding, in preaching it to anyone. Also, O Almighty Lord, please take care of my physical and mental frame, so that I’m not overcome by evil at anytime. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
