Prayer points for 2022

 

Gracious is the Lord, and righteous;
our God is merciful.
The Lord preserves the simple;
when I was brought low, he saved me.
Return, O my soul, to your rest;
for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.

For thou hast delivered my soul from death,
my eyes from tears,
my feet from stumbling (Psalm 116:5-8)

As we get into the New Year 2022, let us put our trust not in any sickness nor in vanity of the world but rather totally trust the Lord God. Let us not fear all vile illnesses, nor fear any evil schemes of the Enemy and repel all fear of the unknown. We trust the Lord Jesus Christ to deliver us from all dangers. And we pray that the Holy Spirit gives us good counsel in the entire year of 2022.

Let’s therefore pray the following prayer points in the name of Jesus for the greater glory of God :

Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy. (Proverbs 28:13) I therefore confess all my sins to you O Lord and repent of each evil thought, word and deed. I plead the blood of Jesus over my past, present and future and surrender all of my life to you O God Almighty.

I love thee, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. (Psalm 18:1-3) O Lord God I you and adore you. Hear me O Lord and save me from all my enemies both known and unknown, for you are indeed the One who is worthy of all of all worship and adoration.
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7) I submit myself and my family unto the Lord God the Father our my Lord Jesus Christ. And in faith I ask for your protection over us from all evil doers. I prayer that the evil plans of the Enemy are cancelled for our life, in the name of Jesus.

For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. (1 John 5:4-5) I believe that Jesus Christ is truly the Son of God. I am an overcomer by Jesus for the greater glory of God.

Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. (Psalm 149:2) I pray that all the lost sheep of Israel turn back to their One True Shepherd in both the Word and the Spirit. Also that all the nations of the earth be delivered from the darkness.

I ask all of the above prayer points in the name of Jesus. Amen.

 

Prayer points for 2021

When times have been tough and there seems to be no cure to what ails our world, let’s turn to the Lord God the Creator of the Word for refuge and relief. Let’s not put our trust in vain people who will only test their solutions with us but don’t take accountability for the consequences. We need to trust and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of the Living God, to deliver us from all evil, now and forever.

(Even if you end up reading this anytime in 2021, maybe you were stuck with work or partying, remember that this is God’s gentle reminder for you; to ask for grace and mercy in the name of Jesus, that your life be secured and holy.)

Please do note that unless you desire that the Lord God guards and defends you as you praise His Holy Name, don’t expect that He rebuilds your life nor make the future to be hopeful. You need to believe that God exists and that He can and will defeat all the power of darkness, if only you ask in faith right now. This is a time to reflect and pray for a better year ahead in 2021. For this we can read the below verses:

Unless the Lord builds the house,
those who build it labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the watchman stays awake in vain.
It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest,
eating the bread of anxious toil;
for he gives to his beloved sleep. (Psalm 127:1-2)

No wisdom, no understanding, no counsel,
can avail against the Lord.
The horse is made ready for the day of battle,
but the victory belongs to the Lord. (Proverbs 21:30-31)

Now for the prayer points for the year 2021, I’ve broken them up into five basic categories as mentioned below. Pray each of them as applicable to your own need. Faith in Jesus Christ is the key to a victorious 2021, keep this in mind as you pray them out. Also ask the Holy Spirit to intercede for you as you pray, so that you remember any special thing that you need to pray for this year and do not miss it. Here are the prayer points:

Personal prayer points

• O Lord I pray that I get more opportunities to love and serve you all through the year 2021.
• Keep me and my loved ones safe from all sickness, dangers and terrors, and calamities by your grace. Let not the enemy prevail against me in any way.
• Protect my health, intellect, memory, and finances O Saviour of the world. Remove all debt and financial liabilities out of my life. Help me to make the right decisions about the way I work and spend my money.
• Bless my family, friends, and loved ones with safety in spirit and in body too.
• Let all demonic influences be exposed and removed from my life and from my loved ones, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
• Open my eyes to take every day fruitfully by reading and believing in your Holy Word.
• Help me by your Holy Spirit to put my hope neither in any man nor woman but only in Christ Jesus the Lord.
• I pray that I keep getting wisdom from above to help me walk wisely and in the light of Jesus Christ.
• Bless me with gratitude as my attitude so that I don’t fall into pride and vanity. Amen.

National prayer points

• I ask for forgiveness and healing for my nation in which I live and which you have ordained me to be in O God.
• I pray that all evil leaders and corrupt officials are booted out of their seats and positions of power. I also desire that these bad ones are not let loose again to carry out their evil plans against anyone.
• Please instead of them give us real and true leaders that seek only the welfare of the nation.
• In the name of Jesus I pray that there be no earthquakes, no sickness, no tsunamis, no snow nor sand storms nor forest fires for every area I pray for in this nation (try to think which place needs which sort of safety).
• I pray that the borders of my nation are secure and all traitors are stopped from carrying out their evil deeds.
• I ask that there comes no civil war in this nation nor is there any infringement of the rights of the people in the name of false peace and false safety by the government.
• Grant that those who plot against my fellow Christians and true Jews in my nations are only met with failure in their evil schemes. Amen.

International prayer points

• I pray for peace in every nation where there is war that the killings and violence cease.
• That children are no longer harmed in places such as South East Asia, Uganda, Nigeria, Iraq, Syria, North Korea and Afghanistan etc.
• That the laws of the nations are not twisted to enable the people to transgress the will of God in areas of marriage, relationships, finances, genetics etc.
• That there is true peace in Israel and all of Jerusalem.
• That there be an escape for the people of various nations from sickness, natural calamities, and financial ruin.
• May the weapons and bombs of the terror groups fail in abundance where they plot against innocent people. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Local church prayer points

• I pray that the local church finds true rest in Christ the Lord.
• That there is no racial nor ethnic discrimination in church.
• That the churchgoers both offline and online, desire to pray everyday and read the Bible everyday.
• That the people of the church worship God with eagerness and thanksgiving.
• That there is only the right understanding of the Holy Scriptures at church.
• I ask in faith that my local church is protected by the grace of God from all enemies visible and invisible.
• That my local church is kept safe against all heresies and worldly lies..
• I pray for the elders and leaders and preachers of the local church, that they be true to divine calling in serving the people of God in Christ-like humility and courage. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Worldwide church prayer points

• I pray that all resistance to the authority of Jesus Christ is met with failure by his enemies who might pose as true believers but are in reality fake ones.
• That the church of the Lord Jesus Christ continues to have faith among its various members even if this is an age where people become apostates.
• That all denominational fights are settled in a peaceful way without compromising on the true Gospel teaching.
• That all false Christian unity movements and related organizations are exposed and their plans are sabotaged by the people of God and the angels of God.
• That the Gospel is preached to every nation on Earth in accordance with the will of God.
• That signs and wonders of the Lord by the Holy Spirit pave way for the preaching of the Gospel and healing of the nations.
• I ask for the safety of missionaries and even the general Christians in areas where the persecution against those who believe in Christ is dangerous and tyrannical.
• I pray that in regions where Christians are in majority, that they are not lax in keeping the faith nor are they stuck in worthless pursuits of worldly passions. May their eyes open to the truth and not be fascinated by the darkness of the world. O Lord, cause the preachers to preach to the people over there without diluting the Word of God. Amen.

I wish you a blessed and prosperous New Year in the Lord Jesus Christ. May the joy of the Lord be your strength. I pray to God that the Enemy of your soul is not able to outwit you. I also pray that you cling always to the Word of God in all that you say, think, or do. Amen.

Jesus Christ be with you, this entire year 2021 and forever!

 

Prayer Points for 2020

O those who believe in the Lord God don’t live in fear nor be uneasy within all through this year 2020. Be grateful that though there have been wildfires, earthquakes and terrorism all around the world, you are still alive and in the land of the living. Be hope for the Lord God once again and praise Him, because He is your salvation and God!

Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God. ( Psalm 42:11)

 

For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the one who trusts in you! (Psalm 84:11-12)

If you are willing to believe in God who sent his only begotten Son Jesus to save you from sin, hell and death, then you are close to having the faith you need to pray for good success in 2020. All you need now is to be truly repentant of all worldly ways and its sins, and follow the Lord Jesus in communion with the Holy Spirit, and pray the below points:

• Help me by your Holy Spirit to put my hope not in any man nor woman but only in Christ Jesus the Lord.
• I pray that I keep getting wisdom from above to help me walk wisely and in the light of Christ.

• I pray all our national weaponry and ammunition are in safe hands and let no enemy be able to sabotage and destroy it.
• I pray that the people of my nation do not give up their rights for the sake of fake peace and fake promises of peace by anyone whether in government, media or religion.
• I pray that the laws of my nation are prevented from being misused to allow immoral living and profane entertainment.
• I also pray that all the medical plans and medical practitioners are made to work only to benefit the people and not to harm nor short change them.
• I ask that there comes no civil war in this nation nor is there any infringement of the rights of the people in the name of false peace and false safety by the government.
• Grant that those who plot against my fellow Christians and true Jews in my nation are only met with failure in their evil schemes.
• I ask all this, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

• That there be escape for the people of various nations from natural calamities and financial ruin.
• May the weapons and bombs of the terror groups fail in abundance where they plot against innocent people.
• That all chemical and biological warfare programs are not misused in various nations.
• I pray for the will of God to work in all nations whether they are believers or not.
• I ask all this, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

• I pray that the local church is a beacon of light in a neighbourhood of despair and confusion, so that people are drawn up to Jesus Christ who is the source of this light.
• That all who come to the local church receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ very clearly and without any ambiguity.
• I ask in faith that my local church is protected by the grace of God from all enemies visible and invisible.
• That my local church is kept safe against all heresies and worldly lies..
• I pray for the elders and leaders and preachers of the local church, that they be true to divine calling in serving the people of God in Christ like humility and courage.
• I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

I would like thank you for taking to read and pray out these prayer points for the year 2020. And this year honestly, I didn’t want to do the prayer points as I have always been doing, but I was getting asked by others to post these points because many people in the world need this to receive deliverance and healing this year. So with much prayer and seeking the Lord, I’ve finally got this out for this time.

My request to you is to pray for deliverance ministries all over the world, so that they can continue more strongly in the will God, so that more people get deliverance from curses, witchcraft and demons etc.

Wishing you all who believe, a very happy and blessed new year, in the Lord Jesus and may Christ be always with you!

 

Beware of long term deception

What if I told you that no matter how much information you share with your friends about the corrupt Babylonian world system and its reach in school, college, work and church, over 90% of them won’t care until it’s too late & only then will they wonder how we allowed this to happen?

A little bit of deviation from the good, can get you more towards evil. A little tolerance of immoral behavior, can cause a region to have rampant adultery and fornication, in a few decades if unchecked.  A little leniency towards lies, can cause the entire community to be untrustworthy.

What’s the ‘little’ in your life and that of your friends and family that must not be given to evil, is not just your choice but your undeniable responsibility?

A few Bible verses to consider about the little things or little leaven of life:

1. And again Jesus said, “To what shall I compare the kingdom of God? “It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three pecks of flour until it was all leavened.” (Luke 13:20-21)
2.  When the disciples reached the other side, they had forgotten to bring any bread. Jesus said to them, “Watch and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” And they began discussing it among themselves, saying, “We brought no bread.” But Jesus, aware of this, said, “O you of little faith, why are you discussing among yourselves the fact that you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive? Do you not remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many baskets you gathered? Or the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many baskets you gathered? How is it that you fail to understand that I did not speak about bread? Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” Then they understood that he did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees. (Matthew 16:5-12)
3. Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough? Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, just as you are in fact unleavened. For Christ our Passover also has been sacrificed. Therefore let us celebrate the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. (1 Corinthians 5:6-8)

Observe how Jesus warned his disciples about the teaching of the  Pharisees and Sadducees but comparing how a little leaven can end up leavening the entire measure of flour its mixed up with. And yes, the disciples actually understood what Jesus said. Does everyone who profess to be a follower of Jesus take that much care to understand what the Lord has said? Not everyone but there are a few who actually do so and put his words into practice. We can confirm this by the following verses:

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ (Matthew 7:21-23)

One of the key points of the above verses is to do the will of God who is in heaven. The Bible which is the Word of God also teaches us to observe and interpret the times and seasons because it’s finally about the coming back of the Son of Man on earth. A few verses in this light:

• He also said to the crowds, “When you see a cloud rising in the west, you say at once, ‘A shower is coming.’ And so it happens. And when you see the south wind blowing, you say, ‘There will be scorching heat,’ and it happens. You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky, but why do you not know how to interpret the present time? (Luke 12:54-56)
• “And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” (Luke 21:25-28)

Mark of the Beast?

But one may ask why are they to observe the time and seasons, if all they need to do is to be faithful to Jesus Christ? Now to answer to that is already given by Jesus himself in the following verses:

“But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap. For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth. But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:34-36)

O people of God do not be deceived! The works of darkness are showing themselves more blatantly than ever before. Kids are being exposed to sensuality much earlier than those of the previous generations. As a result there are teenagers who get pregnant when they are not emotionally nor fully physically ready for childbirth and child rearing. The entertainment is becoming more and more occult oriented than ever before but people are only pretending that they should not be bothered. And what to say of the preachers who don’t want to preach against sin?

This is the long term deception I’m talking about; that people get warned years in advance in the Bible about sin and deception and yet do not give heed to the warnings. Then one fine day when they are in either suffering in Hell or are alive in a world of darkness they wonder what did they miss that could have not landed them in such a bad state. Don’t wait to fall in that time but rather be wise enough to read the Word of God and act on it and keep yourself pure and help others to be pure for the Lord Jesus.

Prayer points for 2017

 

As we get into the New Year 2017, let us put our trust not in the economy nor in vanity of the world but rather totally trust the Lord God. Never love vain entertainment nor the false promises of the Evil One. Put your faith in the Lord Jesus alone for your deliverance.  Acknowledge that all your prosperity is for the glory of God and it his goodness towards you that it may increase as per his holy will. The salvation that you are offered is not limited to only yourself but for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord. Now lets read the below verses:

I love the Lord, because he has heard

    my voice and my pleas for mercy.

² Because he inclined his ear to me,

    therefore I will call on him as long as I live.

³ The snares of death encompassed me;

    the pangs of Sheol laid hold on me;

    I suffered distress and anguish.

⁴ Then I called on the name of the Lord:

    “O Lord, I pray, deliver my soul!”

Now for the prayer points for the year 2017, pray each of them as many times as you wish till you feel it coming from your heart. Pray for yourself and pray for others especially your family. Pray for your state or nation and for the whole world. But as you ask, have gratitude towards the Lord God for sending his only begotten son Jesus on earth to obtain salvation for you by his crucifixion, death and triumphant resurrection. All your prayers in Christ Jesus are to be done in faith, humility and hope. Desire the glory of God as you pray. Remember him as the Savior of the World. Put in your heart and mind that the Lord God can save all those who call on his name in faith. With all this said, here are the prayer points that you can pray for the year 2017:

• O Lord I pray that I be truly holy as you O Lord of heaven and earth are holy.
• Keep me victorious by the precious blood of Jesus Christ over all the temptations in the world that the Evil One might have in mind for me.
• Preserve me fully in body, mind, soul and spirit from all the attacks of the Devil, I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
• Bless my friends that they come to the knowledge of salvation in Jesus Christ and grow in spirit and in truth.
• Give me your peace O Lord Jesus so I can be calm in the world of confusion and deception so that I walk the path of truth safely for your name sake. Amen.
• I pray that I be able to plan my actions be it financial, spiritual, emotional etc with due diligence for the glory of God.
• I ask that I be guided by the Holy Spirit in all truth which the Lord God has ordained for me, so that I grow to love and serve him everyday in a better way. Amen.

 

Family prayer points

• In the name of Jesus I bless my parents and elders with peace, joy and salvation in the Lord God.
• And also that the younger ones grow in the Holy Spirit.
• Help me to encourage my family to love the Lord God more and more.
• I pray for my family members who still are rebellious or unsteady towards the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Change their hearts and mind and give them ears that are open to the preaching of the Gospel. Let their hearts glow in the love of the Lord.
• I pray that there is unity among all my family members in justice, honor and love.
• I reject and revoke all curses over each of my family members including the younger ones, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

 

Local and worldwide church prayer points

• I pray that all in the Church locally and abroad, honor the Lord God and serve him only.
• That the preaching of the Gospel is carried out by more members of the church instead of a select few.
• I pray that each place on earth, where Jesus Christ is glorified receives more stability and all of those church members have true salvation in the Lord God.
• I pray in the name of Jesus that all those who work in the vineyard of the Lord God are prudent in their conduct towards others and to themselves. I ask that they be genuine examples of everything the Gospel preaches.
• I also pray that all those Christians who are suffering persecution on account of their faith in Jesus Christ, receive their vindication and consolation in the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
• I pray for those in Church but who have not yet understood the love of God for them are saved from the lies of the Evil One and accept the Gospel of the Lord Jesus in all obedience. Amen.
• In the name of Jesus I pray all heretics and also the imitators of Judas, Jezebel and Herod in the church are exposed and their evil works of deception be challenged and halted by the true servants of the Lord God. Amen.

 

National prayer points

• I pray the every leader of my nation (or state) that I live in ends up doing only the will of God just like how the Emperor Cyrus let the Jews rebuild the Temple of the Lord God (refer Isaiah 44:28).
• That my nation tackles it’s debt and the debts of the people of the land with due diligence. Expose and cast out all those corrupt government officials who desire to progress at the cost of the citizens, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
• I pray that my nation does not promote laziness but rather generates jobs that have respect and fair wages for all the unemployed in the nation.
• I pray that the laws of the land do not become a staging point for evil. And so I pray that every law that infringes upon the Law of the Lord God is overturned and repealed this year. Amen.
• Forgive my nation of all its sins and let the workers of righteousness preach the Gospel to every creature so that like the people of Nineveh they all humble themselves and seek your face O Lord God.

 

International prayer points

• I pray for peace of Jerusalem which is the heart of Israel and for the whole land of Israel. I pray that every treaty that is in truth evil against Israel gets exposed and cancelled in the name of Jesus. Amen.
• I pray that every illegal invasion in each continent of the world comes to a halt, especially the invasion by terrorists in Iraq and Syria. Also, I ask that the Lord’s agents of justice act more boldly againsts all the evil doers in these lands. Amen.
• I pray that the all people especially the children and innocent of world are safe from landmines, radiation, chemical warfare and all type of terrorism, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
• I pray that the worlds resistance to the preaching of the Gospel is nullified more and more till the Gospel is preached to all the nations, in the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
• I pray that the rulers of the earth be humbled by the Lord God if they plot against the people of the Lord God. I ask that the angels of God thwart the plans of the Evil One who has been working through them, so that God’s children who are those who believe in Jesus Christ dwell securely in the land. Amen.

Prayer points for 2016

As we come to the close of one year and the beginning of a new one, let’s come with a willingness to change what’s gone wrong. Let’s have the desire to continue in what is right. This is a time to reflect and pray for a better year ahead in 2016. For this we can read the below verses:

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!
Know that the Lord, he is God!
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!
For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations. (Psalm 100)

Now for the prayer points for 2016, I’ve broken then up into five basic categories as mentioned below. Pray each of them as applicable to your own need. Faith in Jesus Christ is the key to a victorious 2016, keep this in mind as you pray them out. Also ask the Holy Spirit to intercede for you as you pray, so that you remember any special thing that you need to pray for this year and do not miss it. Here are the prayer points:

Personal prayer points

• O Lord I pray that get more opportunities to love and serve you all through the year of 2016.
• Keep me and my loved ones safe from all dangers and terrors and calamities by your grace. Let not the enemy prevail against me in any way.
• Protect my health, intellect, memory and finances O Saviour of the world. Remove all debt and financial liabilities out of my life. Help me to make the right decisions about the way I work and spend my money.
• Bless my family, friends and loved ones with safety in spirit and in body too.
• Let all demonic influences be exposed and removed from my life and from my loves ones, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
• Open my eyes to take every day fruitfully by reading and believing in your Holy Word.
• Help me by your Holy Spirit to put my hope not in any man nor woman but only in Christ Jesus the Lord.
• I pray that I keep getting wisdom from above to help me walk wisely and in the light of Christ.
• Bless me with gratitude as my attitude towards you O true Lord of all, that I don’t fall into pride and vanity. Amen.

National prayer points

• I ask for forgiveness and healing for my nation in which I live and which you have ordained me to be in O God.
• I pray that all evil leaders and corrupt officials are booted out of their seats and positions of power. I also desire that these bad one’s are not let loose again to carry out their evil plans against anyone.
• Please instead of them give us real and true leaders that seek only the welfare of the nation.
• In the name of Jesus I prayer that there be no earthquakes, no tsunamis, no snow nor sand storms nor forest fires for each every area I pray for in this nation (try to think which place needs which sort of safety).
• I pray that the borders of my nation are secure and all traitors are stopped from carrying out their evil deeds.
• I ask that there comes no civil war in this nation nor is there any infringement of the rights of the people in the name of false peace and false safety by the government.
• Grant that those who plot against my fellow Christians and true Jews in my nations are only met with failure in their evil schemes. Amen.

International prayer points

• I pray for peace in every nation where there is war, that the killings and violence cease.
• That children are no longer harmed in places such as Uganda, Nigeria, Iraq, Syria, North Korea and Afghanistan etc.
• That the laws of the nations are not twisted to enable the people to transgress the will of God in areas of marriage, relationships, finances, genetics etc.
• I pray that all false refugees are stopped and only true refugees are cared for in Europe and North America.
• That there is true peace in Israel and all of Jerusalem.
• That there be escape for the people of various nations from natural calamities and financial ruin.
• May the weapons and bombs of the terror groups fail in abundance where they plot against innocent people. I ask this in Jesus name. Amen.

Local church prayer points

• I pray that the local church finds true rest in Christ the Lord.
• That there is no racial nor ethnic discrimination in church.
• That the church goers desire to pray everyday and read the Bible everyday.
• That the people of the church worship God with eagerness and thanksgiving.
• That there is only the right understanding of the Holy Scriptures at church.
• I ask in faith that my local church is protected by the grace of God from all enemies visible and invisible.
• That my local church is kept safe against all heresies and worldly lies..
• I pray for the elders and leaders and preachers of the local church, that they be true to divine calling in serving the people of God in Christ like humility and courage. I ask this in Jesus name. Amen.

Worldwide church prayer points

• I pray that all resistance to the authority of Jesus Christ is met with failure by his enemies who might pose as true believers but are in reality fake ones.
• That the church of the Lord Jesus Christ continues to have faith among its various members even if this is an age where people become apostates.
• That all denominational fights are settled in a peaceful way without compromising on the true Gospel teaching.
• That all false Christian unity movements and related organizations are exposed and their plans are sabotaged by the people of God and the angels of God.
• That the Gospel is preached to every nation on Earth in accordance with the will of God.
• That signs and wonders of the Lord by the Holy Spirit pave way for the preaching of the Gospel and healing of the nations.
• I ask for the safety of missionaries and even the general Christians in areas where the persecution against those who believe in Christ is dangerous and tyrannical.
• I pray that in regions where Christians are in majority, that they are not lax in the keeping the faith nor are they stuck in worthless pursuits of worldly passions. May their eyes open to the truth and not be fascinated by the darkness of the world. O Lord, cause the preachers to preach to the people over there without diluting the Word of God. Amen.

I wish all those who have taken the initiative to read this, a blessed and prosperous New Year in the Lord Jesus Christ. May the joy the Lord be your strength. I pray to God that the Enemy of your soul is not able to outwit you and also that you cling always to the Word of God in all that you say, think or do. Amen.

The Book of Life as mentioned in the Bible

 

Is there another book greater than the Bible? No, but the Bible speaks of a great book both in the Old and New Testaments. While the Bible is the written word of God that no one must add or subtract from, the Book of Life still gets updated by the Lord Jesus. Now the Book of Life is a record of all those righteous before the Lord God who will not be punished in the Final Judgement and will therefore escape it. The Book of life and the Bible do NOT compete with each other but rather they complement each other. The main difference is that the Bible teaches us the principles of the Christian faith while the Book of Life is the record of those who are faithful to the Lord God.

The church in the current age must keep reminding itself that the Book of Life is to be held with great honor. I’m surprised that not many people in the church are aware of it. If you honor the teachings of the Bible then you automatically honor the Book of Life, even if you never knew of it’s existence till now. There’s nothing too mysterious about this. All you need to do is to search for it in the Bible.

Is the Book of Life a new teaching?

No, as the Book of Life has been mentioned even in the Old Testament. Let’s read the following:

So Moses went back to the Lord and said, “Oh, what a great sin these people have committed! They have made themselves gods of gold. But now, please forgive their sin—but if not, then blot me out of the book you have written.” The Lord replied to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book. (Exodus 32:31-33)

For they persecute him whom you have struck down, and they recount the pain of those you have wounded. Add to them punishment upon punishment; may they have no acquittal from you. Let them be blotted out of the book of the living; let them not be enrolled among the righteous. (Psalm 69: 26-28)

The Lord God records the life and struggles of his people in the Book of Life. He remembers them all.

You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book? (Psalm 56:8)

Then those who feared the LORD spoke with one another. The LORD paid attention and heard them, and a book of remembrance was written before him of those who feared the LORD and esteemed his name. (Malachi 3:16)

Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them. (Psalm 139:16)

Jesus himself spoke of the Book of Life even when he was on his mission on Earth and also later he spoke of it in heaven.

The seventy-two returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!” And he said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” (Luke 10:17-20)

The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels. (Revelation 3:5)

The context of the Book of Life is related to being faithful to God despite the tribulations of life.

At that time shall arise Michael, the great prince who has charge of your people. And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never has been since there was a nation till that time. But at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone whose name shall be found written in the book. (Daniel 12:1)

The Book of Life is linked to prophecy and the Final Judgement

The beast that you saw was, and is not, and is about to rise from the bottomless pit and go to destruction. And the dwellers on earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world will marvel to see the beast, because it was and is not and is to come. (Revelation 17:8)

Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:11-15)

Only those who have their names written in the Book of Life will be allowed in the new Jerusalem of the future, which is the inheritance of those who believe in the Lord God.

But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life. (Revelation 21:27)

Those who add or remove from the Scriptures are warned very clearly about their status in the Book of Life.

For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:  And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. (Revelation 22:18-19)

What to do so that one’s name always remains in the Book of Life?

You need to believe in the Lord Jesus and repent of your sins if you still into sinning. Romans 6:23 says that; For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. (John 3:36)

You need to realize that you can either remain in Christ or remain in sin but never be in both. Ephesians 5:5 says that; For you may be sure of this, that everyone who is sexually immoral or impure, or who is covetous (that is, an idolater), has no inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God.

You cannot earn the grace of God, you simply need to believe in the Lord Jesus for your salvation. Ephesians 2:8-9 says that; For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
