God gave us mouths that close

Then Jesus said, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear. (Mark 4:9)

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.’ (Revelation 2:7)

Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps himself out of trouble. (Proverbs 21:23)
