🌿“To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible.” – Thomas Aquinas
🌿“If, then, you are looking for the way by which you should go, take Christ, because He Himself is the way.” – Thomas Aquinas
🌿”Man cannot live without joy; therefore when he is deprived of true spiritual joys it is necessary that he become addicted to carnal pleasures.” – Thomas Aquinas
Seek the Lord every season,
Let wisdom be your reason.
Seasons come and go away,
It’s faith that is here to stay.
Seek the Lord in joy and peace,
Let your love for Him not cease.
Christ Jesus on earth did arrive,
He rose from the dead all alive.
Seek the Lord when the season ends,
Let those who believe be God’s friends.
The Holy Spirit will remind you of him,
And give you true joy to the brim.
Seek the Lord when seasons renew,
Let your praises for him be never few.
All in all love the Father who is great,
For he did truly the whole world create.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10)
But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.(James 2:18)
Then they said to him, “What must we do, to be doing the works of God?” Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.” (John 6:28-29)
*Be careful who prints your wedding programmes.*
A printer was asked to put 1 John 4:18 in a wedding programme but made a mistake and printed John 4:18. Why was it a mistake?
1 John 4:18 says, “There is no fear in love but perfect love casts out fear …..”
But John 4:18 reads, “For you have had FIVE husbands before, and he whom you now have is not your husband”.
Save us O Lord from deception,
Keep us safe from it’s damnation.
Let the church your beloved against Hell’s gate prevail,
Be with us O Christ Jesus when heresies assail.
Save us O Lord from all vanity,
Keep us safe from all insanity.
Let your angels fight for us; all bright,
Bless them with more power and might.
Save us O Lord from lying voices,
Keep us making the right choices.
Let us read the words of wisdom pure,
By the Holy Scriptures let us endure.
Save us O Lord from foolish presumptions,
Keep us away from unwise assumptions.
Let us be more zealous for your name,
Be with us ever loving; the same.
The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, while the soul of the diligent is richly supplied. (Proverbs 13:4)
Don’t be lazy to pray. Just wishing for good things is not enough. You got to actually pray and ask for it. Don’t assume that you are not to ask the Lord God nor assume he doesn’t want you to ask him anything in prayer.
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. Or which one of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! (Matthew 7:7-11)
The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall. (Proverbs 10:8)
To receive God’s commandments is no small thing. Many fools reject it out right. And they get their due reward; eternal judgment and damnation. The wise are not like them. They choose to receive God’s commandments with eagerness to glorify him. These who are in Christ will receive the joys of eternal life and the crown of glory.
