Sing a new song to the Lord

Be creative when worshiping the Lord. The Bible encourages us to sing new songs to the Lord. If you have the talent to write songs for God then continue to do so. If there’s someone who writes good songs for God then encourage them. Don’t be part of any legalistic bandwagon that hinders use of new spiritually wholesome songs at church. They are in clear violation of scriptures and must not be given heed to. Instead you walk in the freedom that Jesus gives you.

Let’s read Psalm 96:1-6 which says that:

O sing to the Lord a new song;
sing to the Lord, all the earth!
² Sing to the Lord, bless his name;
    tell of his salvation from day to day.
³ Declare his glory among the nations,
    his marvelous works among all the peoples!
⁴ For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
    he is to be feared above all gods.
⁵ For all the gods of the peoples are idols;
    but the Lord made the heavens.
⁶ Honor and majesty are before him;
    strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
