Do not let riches entice you

Do not ever let riches entice you,
Lest God in heaven go on to despise you.
Do not let money and gold be your shield,
Lest you perish like the grass of the field.

Do not love unrighteous wealth,
Lest it hamper your spiritual health.
Do not desire sweet water stolen,
Lest it cause pride all swollen.

Do not work for mammon in conceit,
Lest you start living in deceit.
Do not strive for vain glory,
Lest you start off to a bad story.
