Prayer points for 2024

This year 2024 let’s come together in faith asking the Lord God the father of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ to be our refuge against the powers of darkness in the world both visible and invisible. For greater is HE that is in us than he is in the world and we shall prevail against all evil for the greater glory of God

Let’s therefore pray the following prayer points with full faith in the Lord Jesus Christ for the year 2024:

O Lord Jesus we come before you today, and we repent of all our sins and forgive all those who have sinned against us. We renounce each and every thing that is sinful and reject the temptations of the world and also reject the false promises of Satan.

We thank you for all the prayers answered in the year 2023. We thank for each blessing we received in the year 2023.

We together confess and claim the following Psalm verses as our heritage in Jesus :

To you, O Lord, I lift up my soul.
² O my God, in you I trust;
    let me not be put to shame;
    let not my enemies exult over me.
³ Indeed, none who wait for you shall be put to shame;
    they shall be ashamed who are wantonly treacherous. (Psalm 25:1-3)

Bring joy to Your servant, for to You, O Lord, I lift up my soul. (Psalm 86:4)

Let me hear in the morning of your steadfast love, for in you I trust. Make me know the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. (Psalm 143:8)

We also pray the following and know that you O Lord God will guide us by your Holy Spirit against all of our oppressors including those who scheme against the Church and Israel.

Teach me your way, O Lord,
    and lead me on a level path
    because of my enemies.
¹² Give me not up to the will of my adversaries;
    for false witnesses have risen against me,
    and they breathe out violence.

¹³ I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord
    in the land of the living!
¹⁴ Wait for the Lord;
    be strong, and let your heart take courage;
    wait for the Lord! (Psalm 27 : 11-14)

O Lord Jesus we ask that you intercede for us all the right hand of God and interrupt the plans of the Evil One in all areas of our life, including our prayer life, our finances, our health, our physical and spiritual security and our intellect. We ask and thank you in faith O Lord Jesus that you will work might miracles of deliverance for our families and friends and also each of our countries in which your Holy Name is praised.

O Holy Spirit of the Living God, come in our lives and take away all false counsel and lies of the Enemy. We ask in faith that the Gospel of Jesus continues to be proclaimed so that people come to receive salvation through the Lord Jesus.

O Lord God you who are the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, we give you the praise for there is none like you, there is no one greater than you! We ask in faith in your loving mercy that you save the children of the church and of the world from all evil predators who have been escaping due justice. We pray that you cause the people of the church and of the world to contend against all those who prey on the innocence of children whether its in person or on social media!

We also pray to that we get the breakthroughs that we need and also what we have been praying for all these years, for we take delight in You and trust in your Holy Word. Amen!

Prayer points for 2022

 

Gracious is the Lord, and righteous;
our God is merciful.
The Lord preserves the simple;
when I was brought low, he saved me.
Return, O my soul, to your rest;
for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you.

For thou hast delivered my soul from death,
my eyes from tears,
my feet from stumbling (Psalm 116:5-8)

As we get into the New Year 2022, let us put our trust not in any sickness nor in vanity of the world but rather totally trust the Lord God. Let us not fear all vile illnesses, nor fear any evil schemes of the Enemy and repel all fear of the unknown. We trust the Lord Jesus Christ to deliver us from all dangers. And we pray that the Holy Spirit gives us good counsel in the entire year of 2022.

Let’s therefore pray the following prayer points in the name of Jesus for the greater glory of God :

Whoever conceals their sins does not prosper, but the one who confesses and renounces them finds mercy. (Proverbs 28:13) I therefore confess all my sins to you O Lord and repent of each evil thought, word and deed. I plead the blood of Jesus over my past, present and future and surrender all of my life to you O God Almighty.

I love thee, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. (Psalm 18:1-3) O Lord God I you and adore you. Hear me O Lord and save me from all my enemies both known and unknown, for you are indeed the One who is worthy of all of all worship and adoration.
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7) I submit myself and my family unto the Lord God the Father our my Lord Jesus Christ. And in faith I ask for your protection over us from all evil doers. I prayer that the evil plans of the Enemy are cancelled for our life, in the name of Jesus.

For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. (1 John 5:4-5) I believe that Jesus Christ is truly the Son of God. I am an overcomer by Jesus for the greater glory of God.

Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. (Psalm 149:2) I pray that all the lost sheep of Israel turn back to their One True Shepherd in both the Word and the Spirit. Also that all the nations of the earth be delivered from the darkness.

I ask all of the above prayer points in the name of Jesus. Amen.

 

Prayer points for 2017

 

As we get into the New Year 2017, let us put our trust not in the economy nor in vanity of the world but rather totally trust the Lord God. Never love vain entertainment nor the false promises of the Evil One. Put your faith in the Lord Jesus alone for your deliverance.  Acknowledge that all your prosperity is for the glory of God and it his goodness towards you that it may increase as per his holy will. The salvation that you are offered is not limited to only yourself but for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord. Now lets read the below verses:

I love the Lord, because he has heard

    my voice and my pleas for mercy.

² Because he inclined his ear to me,

    therefore I will call on him as long as I live.

³ The snares of death encompassed me;

    the pangs of Sheol laid hold on me;

    I suffered distress and anguish.

⁴ Then I called on the name of the Lord:

    “O Lord, I pray, deliver my soul!”

Now for the prayer points for the year 2017, pray each of them as many times as you wish till you feel it coming from your heart. Pray for yourself and pray for others especially your family. Pray for your state or nation and for the whole world. But as you ask, have gratitude towards the Lord God for sending his only begotten son Jesus on earth to obtain salvation for you by his crucifixion, death and triumphant resurrection. All your prayers in Christ Jesus are to be done in faith, humility and hope. Desire the glory of God as you pray. Remember him as the Savior of the World. Put in your heart and mind that the Lord God can save all those who call on his name in faith. With all this said, here are the prayer points that you can pray for the year 2017:

Personal prayer points

• O Lord I pray that I be truly holy as you O Lord of heaven and earth are holy.
• Keep me victorious by the precious blood of Jesus Christ over all the temptations in the world that the Evil One might have in mind for me.
• Preserve me fully in body, mind, soul and spirit from all the attacks of the Devil, I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
• Bless my friends that they come to the knowledge of salvation in Jesus Christ and grow in spirit and in truth.
• Give me your peace O Lord Jesus so I can be calm in the world of confusion and deception so that I walk the path of truth safely for your name sake. Amen.
• I pray that I be able to plan my actions be it financial, spiritual, emotional etc with due diligence for the glory of God.
• I ask that I be guided by the Holy Spirit in all truth which the Lord God has ordained for me, so that I grow to love and serve him everyday in a better way. Amen.

 

Family prayer points

• In the name of Jesus I bless my parents and elders with peace, joy and salvation in the Lord God.
• And also that the younger ones grow in the Holy Spirit.
• Help me to encourage my family to love the Lord God more and more.
• I pray for my family members who still are rebellious or unsteady towards the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Change their hearts and mind and give them ears that are open to the preaching of the Gospel. Let their hearts glow in the love of the Lord.
• I pray that there is unity among all my family members in justice, honor and love.
• I reject and revoke all curses over each of my family members including the younger ones, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

 

Local and worldwide church prayer points

• I pray that all in the Church locally and abroad, honor the Lord God and serve him only.
• That the preaching of the Gospel is carried out by more members of the church instead of a select few.
• I pray that each place on earth, where Jesus Christ is glorified receives more stability and all of those church members have true salvation in the Lord God.
• I pray in the name of Jesus that all those who work in the vineyard of the Lord God are prudent in their conduct towards others and to themselves. I ask that they be genuine examples of everything the Gospel preaches.
• I also pray that all those Christians who are suffering persecution on account of their faith in Jesus Christ, receive their vindication and consolation in the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
• I pray for those in Church but who have not yet understood the love of God for them are saved from the lies of the Evil One and accept the Gospel of the Lord Jesus in all obedience. Amen.
• In the name of Jesus I pray all heretics and also the imitators of Judas, Jezebel and Herod in the church are exposed and their evil works of deception be challenged and halted by the true servants of the Lord God. Amen.

 

National prayer points

• I pray the every leader of my nation (or state) that I live in ends up doing only the will of God just like how the Emperor Cyrus let the Jews rebuild the Temple of the Lord God (refer Isaiah 44:28).
• That my nation tackles it’s debt and the debts of the people of the land with due diligence. Expose and cast out all those corrupt government officials who desire to progress at the cost of the citizens, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
• I pray that my nation does not promote laziness but rather generates jobs that have respect and fair wages for all the unemployed in the nation.
• I pray that the laws of the land do not become a staging point for evil. And so I pray that every law that infringes upon the Law of the Lord God is overturned and repealed this year. Amen.
• Forgive my nation of all its sins and let the workers of righteousness preach the Gospel to every creature so that like the people of Nineveh they all humble themselves and seek your face O Lord God.

 

International prayer points

• I pray for peace of Jerusalem which is the heart of Israel and for the whole land of Israel. I pray that every treaty that is in truth evil against Israel gets exposed and cancelled in the name of Jesus. Amen.
• I pray that every illegal invasion in each continent of the world comes to a halt, especially the invasion by terrorists in Iraq and Syria. Also, I ask that the Lord’s agents of justice act more boldly againsts all the evil doers in these lands. Amen.
• I pray that the all people especially the children and innocent of world are safe from landmines, radiation, chemical warfare and all type of terrorism, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
• I pray that the worlds resistance to the preaching of the Gospel is nullified more and more till the Gospel is preached to all the nations, in the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
• I pray that the rulers of the earth be humbled by the Lord God if they plot against the people of the Lord God. I ask that the angels of God thwart the plans of the Evil One who has been working through them, so that God’s children who are those who believe in Jesus Christ dwell securely in the land. Amen.

Praying against mass shootings

We are to pray against mass shootings that occur time and again in the United States. I’m not sure about Canada but if it happens to there then let’s pray about that too. In fact pray for any other place where such crimes occur.The frequency and suddenness of such killings make the attacks dangerous. I find it odd that most of the time the shooter’s end up killing themselves. This makes it difficult to deduce why the killer acted that way. Usually federal forces go to through their profile online or at college/work but keep quiet about it for many years. This doesn’t help the general public. What’s even more weird is that the police arrive only after most people have killed which means shame on the police. And then we have the anguish that the families of the deceased victims have to go through. It’s a huge loss for them. I hate it when anyone is killed that way or any way.

Now there people who are of the foolish opinion that everyone in the U.S is a murderer. Why, because they are trying to ban guns and other firearms in the hands of innocent citizens. If anyone were to call you a murderer every time you would take them to court for defamation, wouldn’t you? There is not a word about disarming thugs, serial killers and gangsters. These anti gun lobby will twist every scripture verse in the Bible to advocate gun control. Excuse me but the last time I checked the Holy Scriptures are to build your faith in Jesus Christ and not for political tricks. The Bible doesn’t say to the church to give up weapons but rather emphasises on peace. If the Bible says to give up self defense then we must not keep church security guards, stop having medicines, remove the walls around church right? Now, if weapons kill, then spoons make kids fat, and cars dive into people right? What is true is that the person behind the gun is the killer and not the gun. People have a stronger chance against such attackers if they are with weapons themselves.

I dislike people who have tremendous sympathy for mass murderers but won’t feel anything for the victim’s and their families. These are the real hypocrite’s in the world. All those who get a kick out of murderous snuff movies must be named and brought to justice.

It’s shameless to see a news report about mass shootings and ignore it. Your ignorance won’t help anyone. Start praying for the victim’s the moment you know of the situation and don’t wait till your preacher tells you to. Seriously does any one wait for their preacher to tell them when to have tea?

Do not say what is the use now that even if the killer’s are brought to justice it won’t bring back the dead. This just one of things that serial killers like so that they can continue their crimes.

Prevention is better than cure! I always believe in prevention of crimes rather that wait for evil to happen and then keep feeling bad. You need to stop this work of devil. Demons work in various ways which are unseen but they provoke potential murderers. Even Judas who betrayed Our Lord Jesus was tempted by the Devil. So aren’t so many murderer’s not tempted by evil spirits. I mean stop the temptation and you stop the crime. How do we do this? We reduce this temptation and then remove it. Cast out all demons of violence in the name of Jesus. Pray the blood of Jesus over all problem areas. Shut the doors on demonic influence. Declare safety from all such murderers in the name of Jesus.

Pray for school children and pray for those at college in that they all be safe and secure. Pray for those who are planning out mass murders. That those who have deadly revenge in their minds receive calmness and act in a forgiving manner. This may seem impossible for man but is possible with God. Pray that the Holy Spirit works through preachers who lead their congregation’s to pray against such shooting incidents in their region. Pray that the angels of God suppress demons of murder, racism and hate in the United States from doing their vile deeds through people. Also pray that the police start arriving on time to prevent murders. Finally pray that citizens are not cheated of their right to self defence be it by weapons or open hands.
