The righteous hates falsehood!

The difference between the righteous and the wicked is what they like and what they do.

The righteous hates falsehood, but the wicked brings shame and disgrace. (Proverbs 13:5)

The righteous will always hate falsehood and wicked will love falsehood. The righteous will do what is good and act as per will of God and live honorably. While the wicked will act disgracefully and shamefully. Don’t be surprised therefore to see both the wicked and the righteous having different judgments at Judgement day.

Let all creation rejoice before the LORD, for he comes, he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in his faithfulness. (Psalm 96:13)

For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil. (Ecclesiastes 12:14)

Never be envious or jealous of others if you love God

Never be envious or jealous of others if you love God, because that would amount to doubting God’s goodness in your life.

Why must you be envious of sinners, especially those who look prosperous?

Do you want to have their final hopeless end as well? Or do you want to have the hope which comes from Christ Jesus alone?

Do not let your heart envy sinners, but always be zealous for the fear of the LORD. There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off. (Proverbs 23:17-18)

Fret not yourself because of evildoers; be not envious of wrongdoers! For they will soon fade like the grass and wither like the green herb. Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. (Psalm 37:1-3)

Envy is a sin that starts first in the mind but once it’s put into action, it can harm others and self too

Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted with evil and he himself tempts no one; but each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire. Then desire when it has conceived gives birth to sin; and sin when it is full-grown brings forth death. (James 1:13-15)

Some people are utterly lazy and some lack the right mindset for success, yet these people get very envious and jealous of others who succeed where they failed. Instead of being happy for the success of others, they only find faults with that person. In offices, you will see such kinds, who refuse to talk to a recently promoted colleague just because of envy. In families, you will notice people who won’t help their suffering kin but will do everything to mock a family member who just came out of joblessness, because of jealousy. In politics, you will see one politician who is willing to burn down the entire nation, just because he or she cannot see another politician getting praised by the people for his or her government policies. (Just to be clear, I’m not talking about any specific country, nor about some specific religion. I’m talking about the whole wide world.)

Don’t even say jealousy and envy motivate you

Anyone who claims jealousy and envy motivates them to do better is just plain wrong. Such a person’s wisdom is never from God and can therefore never be justified. You can succeed in life by being truthful and kind and hardworking.

But if you have bitter envy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t brag and deny the truth. Such wisdom does not come from above but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where envy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every kind of evil. (James 3:14-16)

Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:19-21)

Aim to be free from envy and jealousy for your own welfare

Those who continue to remain envious and jealous are simply harming themselves. Firstly harming their thought life and eventually losing their body and soul.

A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones. (Proverbs 14:30)

Surely resentment destroys the fool, and jealousy kills the simple. (Job 5:2)

Instead of jealousy and envy have true love and desire to grow in the Word of God

Instead of wasting your life, resist all jealousy and envy, and each sinful habit and instead love God in all truth. Read the Word of God and grow in it.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. (1 Corinthians 13:4)

Therefore, putting aside all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander, like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation. (1 Peter 2:1-2)

Christ be with you!

Flee youthful lusts

O believer flee youthful lusts,
Be one who in God trusts.
Flee malice and flee pride,
And rather in God’s Word abide.

Flee all the world’s seduction,
Be on who heeds instruction.
Avoid ungodly passions and greed,
Instead abide in Christ to be freed.

O you righteous don’t envy those who live in lust,
For the unrepentant have no hope after turning to dust.
O Sinners give heed to the repentance cry,
Take your steps towards the Lord, do try.

Fret not yourself because of sinners

Fret not yourself because of sinners,
For at Judgement day they won’t be winners.
And about workers of iniquity don’t be envious,
Because their end will be truly devious.

Fret not yourself but trust in God,
For then in the land you will trod.
And you will good things be fed,
Because by the Lord you are lead.

Fret not yourself but in Christ delight,
For by him you can win each spiritual fight.
And God will give you your heart’s desires,
Because your faith in him keeps up and fires.

Flee Temptation

Flee temptation O Believer,
Entertain not the Deceiver.
Why must you give heed,
To any sinful seed?

Flee it like you flee a snake,
Don’t let deal you any heartache.
Why must you even follow,
The darkness vile and hollow?

Flee all sinful imaginations,
Regard them as worthless visions.
Why must you at all cherish,
The things the cause to perish?

Flee and rebuke any spirit of sin,
In Jesus name have your win.
Why must your will get stuck,
To know when to avoid the muck?

Sin No More

Sin no more, whether its small or tall,
Lest something worse for you does befall.
Sin no more, even if sinners entice,
Lest you share their punishment for vice.

Sin no more, as sin is finally vain,
Why do people desire eternal pain?
Sin no more, as it strikes in the end,
Why do people towards it bend?

Sin no more, as its a fatal delusion,
Don’t chase after any lustful illusion.
Sin no more, as its faithless unsteady,
Don’t think it’ll keep you heaven ready.

Expose the unfruitful works of darkness

Thought provoking

Instead of despairing about the leaders of your state, pray about them

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:1-4)

At times in the world there are leaders who are controversial by what they say and do, while others are a pain by what they do not say nor do. This affects they way of life of people in general. Also, a corrupt or proud king or ruler of the people’s can bring them much despair. However, those in Christ Jesus must not fall in the trap of useless anxiety nor foolish works that only disrupt society.

Instead we must pray in faith to the Lord God to improve the leaders of nation and state. We can also pray the unjust rulers are reigned in by the Lord and changed. You deserve the peace but how would you get it for your country if you don’t do what God expects you to?.

The Lord God is capable to granting wisdom, pray for wisdom in such cases. But do not despair. Remember the Lord God can change the course of nations by changing its leaders and circumstances.

20 Daniel answered and said: “Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might. 21 He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; 22 he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him. (Daniel 2:20-22)
